At Iron Water Ranch, our goal is to improve wool quality, yield, and confirmation of our ARBA- or NCWGA-registered Romney sheep. Detailed record keeping lets us select breeding combinations that produce the traits we desire. We have begun importing semen from New Zealand to increase the size of the genetic pool available to us.

The results of the New Zealand breeding are amazing. The lambs have a dense, heavy fleece with a wonderful hand. They gain weight and size very rapidly.
