Romney sheep are the pride and joy of the Iron Water Flock. They are the very first and longest standing breed of sheep raised here at IWR. Our program has selected for exquisite handle for decades and this yarn is truly the prize for our efforts.
 
Schnookums is one of our lovely brood ewes who is the daughter of Scorch and Lady May. She has the sweetest, fluffiest face and is one of our friendliest ewes. Schnookums is a pretty light to medium grey with some variation which gave her yarn incredible depth.
 
This beautiful yarn is 2-ply DK weight and comes in 200+ yard skeins that are roughly 90 grams/3 oz.  The fiber was grown, washed, and spun all right here in Oregon. This yarn was dyed by our own shepherd, Kirsten. This is one of the most perfect purples ever! These skeins are already the perfect tweed for your next favorite sweater!
